YAD Montreal

Before the creation of the Buddha’s Light International Association-Young Adults Division of Montreal (BLIA YAD Montreal) on 25 December 1998, youth volunteers have already been a big part of the activities and day-to-day operations of the temple. Since its creation, events such as ski trips, food delivery in winter, sugar shack trips, and car wash fundraisers have been organised. The youths of Fo Guang Shan have also been active in assisting other events like vegetarian food fairs, Canada Day celebrations, and Buddha’s Day parade.

Today, the YAD is a well-structured group and organizes summer camps, banquets for international exchange students, as well as various fundraisers. These youths’ positive energy and passion have led them to continuously been well-received by the Montreal community.
